Juan P. Luciano, Esq.

Understanding the emotional difficulty for all parties during these times, Mr. Luciano believes in minimizing the inevitable conflicts that arise during divorce and custody negotiations and guiding his clients to a place where they are able to make objective decisions for the protection of their families and their future.

Juan Luciano has spent his career navigating the often complex world of family law and has gained a reputation for excellence, both at the negotiating table and in the courtroom.

Consequently, he strives initially to negotiate in good faith to achieve a mutual goal, enabling partners to go forward with their lives with respect toward each other. His goal is simple: negotiation when possible and litigation when necessary.

Experience

After being admitted to the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Second Judicial Department in February of 2005, Mr. Luciano went on to represent clients in family court matters while working of counsel with other family law practitioners in New York City until 2013 when he opened his own offices as a solo practitioner.

Since then, Mr. Luciano has dedicated his office to the practice of family law and domestic relations, representing his clients with their best interests and those of their family in mind. Over his years in practice, he has strived to resolve divorce and family law matters quickly and amicably, implementing practical solutions and keeping lines of communication open and respectful.

John Teufel is Of Counsel to Juan Luciano Divorce Lawyer. He focuses on family law, working closely with clients to understand their needs and craft strategies that help them move forward. He’s known for clear, persuasive writing and appellate advocacy, supporting clients and trial counsel with research-driven briefs and motions.

Experience & Background

After law school, John served as a post-graduate fellow for Justice Deborah Kaplan in the New York Supreme Court Matrimonial Part and interned with the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York. He has been retained in actions involving prenuptial agreement enforcement, developing deep familiarity with their strengths and pitfalls. He also partners with the Luciano firm to provide litigation and legal-research support on complex family-law matters.
